Assaulting Police Officer Charge In Pentagon City Larceny Case
A juvenile female acted disorderly and spit on an officer during processing at police HQ, according to an Arlington County Police report.
ARLINGTON, VA -- A female juvenile was charged with assault and battery on a police officer Thursday after she spit on an officer while being processed in connection with a Pentagon City larceny case, according to the Arlington County Police daily crime report.
On Feb. 6, around 2:13 p.m., ACP officers were dispatched to a business in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street for the report of a larceny. Arriving on the scene, officers learned three suspects allegedly stole items from the business and fled before police arrived. A lookout was broadcast for the suspects and another officer in the area found one of the juvenile suspects nearby. The suspect gave false identification. When the officer attempted to detain the juvenile, he fled on foot. After a short pursuit, the officer took the suspect into custody.
The same officer observed the two other juvenile suspects nearby and communicated with them. The second suspect failed to give her identity to investigating officers and started to act disorderly during the investigation. As she was being processed later at Police Headquarters, the second suspect continued to act disorderly and spit on an officer, according to the report. Stolen goods were found on the second and third suspects.
