Back To School: Arlington Students Return For In-Person Learning
Arlington Public Schools welcomed back students for the new school year, including some who hadn't been in classrooms since March 2020.

ARLINGTON, VA — Monday was the first day of the 2021-22 academic year at Arlington Public Schools. For some students, it was their first day back in the classroom since March 2020.
Guidance released by the Centers for Disease Control recommended all students in K-12 settings wear a mask. Some school districts in Northern Virginia, including APS, have updated their mask guidance.
Superintendent Dr.Francisco Durán notified APS families by email earlier this month that everyone entering school buildings or riding county buses must wear a mask regardless of their vaccination status.
