The Barbie Truck will be cruising into Arlington in early May with a 1970s beach vibe to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Malibu Barbie.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Barbie Truck will be cruising into Arlington in early May with a whole new look and a 1970s beach vibe to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Malibu Barbie.
Barbie fans of all ages will want to make sure they’re at Pentagon Row on Saturday, May 7 to enjoy the 2022 Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Malibu Tour.
The Barbie Truck tour stop will take place in the courtyard at Pentagon Row from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 7.

The redesigned Barbie Truck will offer many new 1970s-themed Malibu Barbie beach apparel and accessories. Merchandise will be available to purchase by credit card, with prices ranging from $12 to $75.
Included in the selection of merchandise will be a Barbie-logo embroidered denim jacket, a Pink Barbie-logo hoodie, a tie-dye bucket hat, a ring t-shirt, an embroidered patch set, an enamel pin set, a shopper tote, a stainless thermal bottle, a beach towel, a Malibu Barbie necklace and a Barbie logo mug.

The Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Tour kicked off in Los Angeles in fall 2019. After its Arlington stop, the Barbie Truck Malibu Tour will head to Columbia, Maryland, on May 14 and Philadelphia on May 21.
Barbie is manufactured by American toy company Mattel Inc. Ruth Handler, who served as president of Mattel, created the Barbie doll in 1959, naming it after he daughter Barbara. Barbie and her boyfriend Ken are two of the most popular dolls in the world.
