Beach Boys to Headline Memorial Day Concert at U.S. Capitol Today
The legendary pop group will be joined by many other stars for a day of music and remembrance.

The Beach Boys will headline a star-studded lineup to perform at the annual Memorial Day concert on the U.S. Capitol lawn this evening.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert begins at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise will co-host the show for the 11th straight year.
The National Memorial Day Concert, which will be broadcast by PBS, will feature "uplifting musical performances, documentary footage and dramatic readings that honor the military service of all our men and women in uniform, their families at home and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice," according to a PBS statement.

Plenty of other stars will be performing at the concert, including Katharine McPhee, the runner up on the 5th season of American Idol whose debut album landed at No. 2on the Billboard 200 chart back in 2007.
Legendary country singer Trace Adkins will also perform, as well as reigning American Idol Trent Harmon.

The National Symphony Orchestra will provide sweeping patriotic music, as will the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, the U.S. Army Chorus, the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters, the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants and the Soldiers' Chorus.
