Blue Line Service Between Foggy Bottom And Pentagon Still Suspended: Updated
Service on Metro's Blue Line is still suspended between Foggy Bottom and Pentagon City the morning after a derailment in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, VA — Blue Line service between Metro's Foggy Bottom and Pentagon stations remains suspended Wednesday morning after a Blue Line train partially derailed Tuesday evening as it approached the Arlington National Cemetery Station.
Metro is providing free shuttle bus service between the Rosslyn, Arlington Cemetery and Pentagon stations on Wednesday to allow police to continue investigating the cause of Tuesday's derailment.
Riders are encouraged on Wednesday to take the Blue/Yellow Line at L'Enfant Plaza in Washington, D.C. in order to continue their trip south toward Alexandria. The Blue Line is only running between the Franconia-Springfield and the Mount Vernon Square stations.

Riders taking the Orange and Silver lines on Wednesday can also expect some delays when traveling between Clarendon and Foggy Bottom due to a track problem in Rosslyn.

ARLINGTON, VA — Evening riders on Metro's Blue Line in Virginia can expect delays Tuesday between the Pentagon and Foggy Bottom due the derailment of a train outside Arlington Cemetery, according at post on Metrorail's official Twitter account.
Arlington County sent out an alert saying a train traveling from the Rosslyn Station to the Arlington National Cemetery derailed.
Rail Operational Control Center received a report about the derailment around 4:53 p.m., a Metro spokesman told The Washington Post. One of the newer 7,000-series trains had slipped partway off the tracks. The Post reported that between 300 and 400 people were on the train at the time of the incident.
Arlington County Fire and EMS reported on Twitter fire units and police department personal were at these scene of a single-track derailment at the cemetery station. No injuries were reported. The public is warned to stay away from the scene.
Arlington firefighters were helping passenger exit the derailed train, according to a 6:47 post on Twitter by Fox5DC editor Allison Papson.
Due to the derailment, Metro has suspended Blue Line service between the Pentagon and Foggy Bottom. Shuttle buses are available to carry passengers.
