Brand New DMV Location Opening at Virginia Square in Arlington on Tuesday
It will be the county's third DMV location, and it will aim to improve efficiency in customer transactions.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles will be opening a new location at Virginia Square in Arlington on Tuesday, and the agency is describing it as its "first commuter-friendly customer service center."
Virginia DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb and other local officials will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new "DMV Metro" at 3434 Washington Boulevard at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
"DMV Metro at Virginia Square’s walk, bike, ride concept supports Arlington County’s efforts to encourage alternative modes of transportation to reduce congestion and pollution," according to a statement.

DMV Metro at Virginia Square will have up to nine customer service windows and a "new, more efficient countertop design." The location will feature 6,000 square feet of space, and customers can conduct all DMV transactions at the office except for road tests.
It will be the DMV's third location in Arlington, along with a full-service office on South Four Mile Run Road, and a DMV Select office at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard.
