Brass Knuckles Recovered From Unlawful Entry Suspect: Police
Arlington County police arrested a 56-year-old man who they say jumped over the fences of homes in the Penrose area Tuesday night.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police found brass knuckles in the possession of a 56-year-old man they arrested as part of a suspicious person investigation Tuesday night in the Penrose area, according to reports.
Officers responded around 11:08 p.m. for the report of a suspicious person, whom they later determined had jumped over the fences of homes in the 400 block of South Edgewood Street, according to police.
“A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers observed the suspect exiting a residence in the 300 block of South Fillmore Street where they detained him following a brief struggle,” according to the incident report. While searching the suspect as part of the arrest, police recovered brass knuckles.

The suspect, identified as Todd Bruner of Arlington, was taken to a nearby hospital to be medically evaluated. Once Bruner was cleared, police charged him with possession of blackjacks and two counts each of unlawful entry and carrying a concealed weapon, according to ACPD.
