Bumbling Burglars Break Into Ballston Business, Bolt Because of Blaring Alarm: Police
Thieves thwarted thanks to not thinking things through.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are looking for a pair of burglars who broke into a business on Glebe Road in Ballston, only to flee without taking anything after an alarm went off.
Police were called to the 700 block of N. Glebe Road at around 3:47 a.m. on April 19 to an audible burglary alarm, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined two unknown male subjects entered a business," the report states. "The subjects then fled the scene on foot shortly after. No items appear to be missing."

Police described the suspects as follows: "The first subject is described as a black male, with a slim to medium build and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The second subject is described as a black male, with a slim to medium build and was wearing a dark shirt."
The investigation is ongoing, police say.
