Buon Appetito: Osteria da Nino Opens in Shirlington Village
Italian restaurant and bar takes over The Curious Grape spot.

There’s a new restaurant in Shirlington that held its soft opening over the weekend: Osteria da Nino. The new Italian restaurant and bar takes the place of The Curious Grape, the longtime Shirlington wine store and restaurant.
The restaurant is located at 2900 S. Quincy St. in Shirlington Village. The Curious Grape recently closed after winning awards at its new location around the corner from its original location.

At the culinary helm is Delian DiPietro, a former chef at The Curious Grape. He has teamed up with Nino Pino, who is associated with Leesburg eatery Palio Ristorante Italiano, according to a report by Northern Virginia magazine. Pino also makes reference on his Facebook page to working at Zibibbo 73, an Italian restaurant in Stafford.
