Burglar Kicks, Punches Police K9 Dog in Clarendon: Police
Police say a man broke into a business and then refused to leave when officers cornered him.

ARLINGTON, VA — A Maryland man faces a litany of charges after police say he broke into a business on Wilson Boulevard and then fought with a police K9 dog that came to get him out.
Police were called to the 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard at around 3:25 a.m. on Dec. 10 to a report of a burglary in progress. A man had apparently forced his way inside a business and struck an employee in the face, and he was still there when police arrived, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"The subject ignored officer’s commands to exit the business," the report states. "Following several announcements by police that were unanswered by the suspect, a K9 was deployed. The suspect kicked and punched the K9."
