Cadmus Becomes First Green Earth Sustainable Partner
Leading consultancy becomes first corporate sponsor of US environmental education award
The Nature Generation announces The Cadmus Group (Cadmus) as a Green Earth Sustainable Partner and Presenting Sponsor of the 2018 National Green Earth Book Award for Children’s Fiction. Since 2005, the nonprofit has bestowed the award on authors and illustrators who best convey the environmental stewardship message and inspire youth to grow a deeper appreciation, respect, and responsibility for their natural environment.

Cadmus has agreed to a multi-year partnership that reflects its commitment to sustainability and the environment and supports the nonprofit’s mission to get more eco-books into the hands of children.

As Presenting Sponsor, Cadmus bestowed the Children’s Fiction Award, one of four awards presented at the Green Earth Book Award Celebration on October 25, 2018 in Arlington, Va.
The Children’s Fiction Award recipient is renowned author Margarita Engle for Forest World, a story that is weaved with the message of the importance of biodiversity, and how Cubans are trying to save their own flora and fauna from tourists, poachers, and climate change.
President and founder of the nonprofit, Amy Marasco, said, “We are so pleased to have Cadmus become our first corporate program sustainable sponsor. Their commitment to our nations children’s education sets them apart and exemplifies their long term commitment to bridging the environmental literacy gap”

The Green Earth Book Award is the United States’ premier national environmental stewardship book award for children and young adult literature. The Nature Generation bestows the Green Earth Book Award to bring national recognition to important works and their authors with its highly qualified “seal of approval” for environmental literature.
