ARLINGTON, VA — Independent hip-hop artist KvnLee (Kevin Lee), widely recognized for his "Soul Music" sound, is set to headline a milestone performance on August 8, 2026, at the George Mason University (GMU) Arlington Mason Square. Titled “GMU’s Saturday Shuffle: 8/8/8 - 8 YEARS N A DAY - KvnLee Live w/ Vybe Wythyn Band,” the event serves as a “BreakThrough” as his 2025 single is titled. A career-defining celebration of KvnLee’s eight-year evolution of his artist journey. 

Since his 2018 debut, The Introduction (aka, The Demo), KvnLee (Herndon, VA) has released 4 EPs, and 2 Mixtapes, solidifying a local presence in the DMV Music Scene. However, he has now transformed from a local favorite into a global independent force. His career is marked by explosive digital growth and viral success, including:

• Global Viral Phenomenon: His track "This What I Do" sparked over 47,000 user-generated videos on social sites, and peaking at #13 on the USA TikTok Breakout Chart.
• International Chart-Topper: The single "Positive Energy (Affirmations)" reached #1 on the iTunes Charts in Spain. The song has infectious lyrics that connects worldwide, helping it to reach 548,000+ streams on Spotify

The upcoming event features The Real DJ Twin the Vybe Wythyn Band and special guests BLK VAN GOH and .WALKING EAGLE, both of whom collaborated on KvnLee’s latest projects. The performance follows the release of his ambitious EP, 703.DMV.BURBAN.Kid, which utilizes NFC technology—allowing fans to access music through custom "drop cards"—a move that signals his trajectory as a tech-forward independent operator, and a business minded artist. 

The highly anticipated August 8th performance arrives on the heels of major new music from KvnLee, including his July 3rd single, “What We Do (w/ Life).” Featuring the soulful vocals of Eddie Valoy and a powerful spoken-word message delivered from behind prison walls by BIGHOMIEFROMRESTON, the track offers a profound, soulful three-part journey.
