Car Dealership Haggling Goes Wrong, Man Pulls a Knife on Employee And Steals Car: Police

Police are still looking for a man who they say got into an argument over the sale of a vehicle and then simple stole the keys.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are searching for a man who got into an argument at a car dealership and then made off with a car after threatening an employee with a knife.

Police responded to a car dealership in the 2500 block of N. Lee Highway at around 12:19 p.m. on Oct. 15 to a report of a "male subject arguing with an employee over the sale of a vehicle," according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon investigation, it was determined that a male subject entered a business and following the verbal altercation, stole the keys to the vehicles on the lot," the report states. "An employee confronted the subject and the subject pulled out a knife and charged at the employee."

The man then fled, police say.

The employee was not injured in the incident. Police obtained warrants for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, and the investigation is ongoing.
