Car Smashes Into Utility Pole, Knocks Out Power in Arlington Neighborhood: Police
Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in northern Arlington on Tuesday afternoon.

ARLINGTON, VA — A car crashed into a utility pole in northern Arlington Tuesday afternoon, sending two people to the hospital and knocking out power for multiple homes, according to police.
The Arlington County Police Department tweeted out a picture of a car that had collided with a utility pole on eastbound Yorktown Boulevard at George Mason Drive, which shut down the road in both directions.
Dominion Virginia Power is on the scene to restore power to about four homes in the area, which is expected to happen between 4 and 9 p.m.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, one driven by a man and the other by a woman. Both were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, Arlington police spokesperson Ashley Savage said.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, Savage said.
