Car Stolen In Arlington With Child Inside Found In DC: Police
A car with a child inside was stolen from the corner of N. Lynn Street and Wilson Blvd. in Rosslyn around 6 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man stole a car and abducted a child from the corner of N. Lynn Street and Wilson Blvd. in Rosslyn around 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
The child's father flagged down police right after the incident and told police that his car was parked and idling when it was stolen with his child inside, police said.
Police issued a lookout and about 20 minutes later, the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. found the stolen car, with the child inside, in the 2200 block of Fairlawn Ave. in Southeast D.C. The child was unharmed, police said.

The man who stole the car and abducted the child fled prior to D.C. police arriving at the scene in Southeast D.C. around 6:20 p.m. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing an orange sweatshirt and jeans, police said.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.

The father, a 38-year-old resident of Falls Church, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after leaving his child unattended in the idling vehicle. He was released on a summons, Arlington County Police said.
