Central Library Gardening Talk

Ways to Extend the Growing Season

A free public lecture on "Extending the Growing Season" will be held at the Arlington Central Library (1015 N. Quincy St.) at 7 pm on Wednesday Sept. 13. Learn how to protect your late crops from the cold by using hot caps, cold frames, row covers, and other protective layers that can shield your vegetables through chilly fall evenings and even into the winter months. Sponsored by the Arlington Food Assistance Center's Plot against Hunger program and Northern Virginia Master Gardeners. For more information, see https://afac.org/plot-against-hunger/pah-events/
