A free public lecture on "Glorious Garlic" will be held at the Arlington Central Library (1015 N. Quincy St.) at 7 pm on Wednesday Oct. 11. Learn about the history of this staple of international cuisine and how a handful of garlic sown this fall will yield beautiful heads for next summer's favorite dishes. Sponsored by the Arlington Food Assistance Center's Plot against Hunger program and Northern Virginia Master Gardeners. For more information, see https://afac.org/plot-against-hunger/pah-events/
