Chaos in Rosslyn: High Winds Cause Power Outages, Huge Traffic Problems Monday
Traffic is jammed throughout Rosslyn as high winds have knocked out power to numerous traffic lights.

ARLINGTON, VA — The roads around Rosslyn Monday morning are a complete mess with traffic lights out thanks to high winds whipping throughout the area.
Arlington County sent out an alert at 9:11 a.m. warning commuters that a power outage had struck the area around Wilson Boulevard and Lee Highway near Lynn Street, noting that there were "significant power outages reported in Rosslyn," with Arlington County Police directing traffic.
Many people chimed in on Twitter to report that the roads were jammed with cars, with one person describing it as a "disaster" and another calling it "chaos."

Winds are proving to be a problem early on Monday throughout the region, and they're expected to continue throughout the day. One report indicates that a wind gust of 66 miles per hour was reported at Reagan National Airport.
