Clarendon Restaurant Hottest Sandwich Shop: 2024 RAMMY Awards Ceremony
A Clarendon eatery was named the DC-area's Hottest Sandwich Shop at Sunday night's 42nd Annual RAMMYS Awards Gala.
WASHINGTON, DC — Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington's 42nd annual RAMMY award winners were announced at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Sunday night. The RAMMY awards are given to individuals and businesses demonstrating excellence in the DC region's food service industry.
Ellie Bird of Falls Church was named the New Restaurant of the Year and Masako Morishita of Perry's received the Rising Culinary Star of the Year Rammy Award.

While six Arlington restaurants were nominated for awards this year, only one brought home a Rammy. Clarendon's Colada Shop was named the Hottest Sandwich Shop in the DC region.
CEO Daniella Senior founded the Cuban sandwich chain in 2016, growing it to five locations around the DMV, ss well as two smaller menu shops in DC and Fairfax County's Mosaic District. Clarendon's Colada shop is located at 2811 Clarendon Blvd. in Arlington.

Arlington's other nominees included Stellina Pizzeria; Timber Pizza owners Andrew Dana and Daniela Morel; Queen Mother's Kitchen; and Enrique Limardo and Ezequiel Vázquez-Ger of the Seven Reasons Group, which operates Crystal City's Surreal.
