<p>Sunny@Midnight (Jeff Smith and Sherry Stewart) return to Cafe Sazon (4704 Columbia Pike) for their monthly residency this Saturday June 27th. Showtime is 7:00 pm and they will be joined by their bandmates Ron Goad (percussion), John Werntz (upright bass) and Marcy Cochran (fiddle). Acclaimed local singer-songwriter Rob Gould will open the show will open, Gould has been honored by the Washington Area Music Association and has placed highly in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. This is a no cover show but donations are accepted on behalf of the performers.<br></p>
<p>Jeff Smith is a musical raconteur, whose poetic lyrics paint common experiences and filtered memories with a tender or playful brush. Singing in a honey-drenched Appalachian drawl, multi-instrumentalist Smith lays down a brew of what he calls a funky kind of country blues folk pop rock stomp.</p>
<p>Sherry Stewart writes songs about people, places and things that have left an impression on her. Themes often evoke nature and leave the listener with a sense of longing only heightened by her angelic voice and vocal harmonies. She accompanies herself on mandolin, guitar, and flute whether she is playing solo or with others.</p>

<p>Join Supreme Chord, a dynamic all-voices a cappella group with members across the DMV&nbsp;(including in Beltsville!) for our 18th anniversary at the Atlas Performing Arts Center with an amazing night of a cappella music celebrating our collective milestones in life!&nbsp; You can get your tickets via the <a href="https://www.atlasarts.org/events/supremechord/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Atlas Performing Arts Center</a>.</p>
<p>The performance will also feature Supreme Chord as well as two dynamic&nbsp; D.C.-based ensembles as guest groups:&nbsp;Chord of Appeals and The Augmented Eight.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We’re also pleased that a portion of proceeds from this concert will go to support critical youth programs in DC through a partnership with&nbsp;<a href="https://wearedcaction.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">DC Action</a>, a local non-profit focused on making the District of Columbia a place where all young people grow up safe, resilient, powerful, and heard.</p>
