Coffee Mug Assault Leaves One Hospitalized and Another on the Run: Police
Police say an argument between two men turned violent on Friday.

ARLINGTON, VA — An attack with a coffee mug has resulted in the hospitalization of a man in Arlington, and police are trying to track down the culprit.
Police were called to the 2000 block of Columbia Pike at around 9:37 p.m. on Jan. 6 to a report of an assault with injury, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
Police say that two known individuals got into an argument, leading to a man striking the other man in the head with a coffee mug.

The man who committed the crime fled the scene before police arrived, the report states, and emergency personnel transported the victim to Virginia Hospital Center, where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
