Community Meeting Set for Proposed Hospital Expansion

Virginia Hospital Center is considering expanding onto property adjacent to the hospital, known as the Edison site, owned by the County.

The public is invited to a community meeting on Wed., Sept. 9, at Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) on the hospital’s proposed expansion plans, according to a news release from the county.

VHC has proposed expanding its campus onto property adjacent to the existing hospital, known as the Edison site, now owned by Arlington County. Acting County Manager Mark Schwartz, other senior County staff and VHC’s vice president will be seeking the public’s comments and answering questions about the proposed expansion, and laying out next steps in the process of a possible land swap between the County and VHC.
