Concealed Weapon Charge Filed Against Man Who Tried To Evade Police
Arlington County Police arrested a Woodbridge man Monday night after he fled from the scene of a crash on in the area of Columbia Pike.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 26-year-old Woodbridge man remains in custody and is facing multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, after he attempted to elude Arlington County Police on Monday night.
Around 11:01 p.m., a midnight patrol officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with improper registration that was driving erratically in the area of Columbia Pike at S. Scott Street. However, the vehicle's driver failed to stop. Attempting to flee the area, the vehicle struck another vehicle and subsequently crashed, according to police. The driver of the striking vehicle exited their car and ran off.
After canvassing the area, officers located the suspect, whom they identified as 26-year-old Abraham Mansaray Jr. of Woodbridge. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for a medical evaluation. An occupant of the vehicle that was struck received minor injuries, according to police.

Investigators recovered a firearm from Mansaray's vehicle. They then arrested and charged him with eluding, hit and run, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and carrying a concealed weapon. Mansaray was held without bond, according to police.
