On the Road

At 7:22 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported in the Great Falls area on VA-193/Georgetown Pike westbound near Old Dominion Drive. Drivers should proceed with caution.

At 7:24 a.m., a crash was reported on the northbound side of I-95 at mile marker 155.8, 0.6 miles south of Dale Blvd., Exit156, in Prince William County. No lanes closed.

As of 7 a.m., roadwork on I-66 WB at I-495 (Exit 64) in Fairfax County was blocking the three left lanes. One right lane is open. Delays extend onto the Capital Beltway, according to VDOT.

A crash was reported at 6:53 a.m. on eastbound Old Keene Mill Rd., just before I-95. The right lane is blocked.

At 7:11 a.m., a crash was reported on Old Bridge Rd eastbound near Minnieville Rd. in Woodbridge.

A disabled vehicle reported at 7:18 a.m. on the southbound side of I-95 at mile marker 136.1, 1.8 miles north of US-17, Exit133B, in Stafford County has been cleared as of 7:22 a.m.

As of 7:12 a.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on the northbound side of I-95 at mile marker 171.7, 0.8 miles south of Route 613, Exit172, in Fairfax County. No lanes are closed.

In Maryland, a disabled vehicle was reported at 7:02 a.m. on the outer loop of I-495/Beltway between the exit for I-95 and MD-650/New Hampshire Ave. The center of road is blocked.

As of 7:20 a.m., a crash was reported on MD-193/University Blvd W westbound at MD-97/Georgia Ave in Maryland. Drivers should follow police direction.

On the Rails

On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.

The Virginia Railway Express will be free for all riders starting Thursday and throughout the month of September due to major Metro Blue and Yellow Line construction.

Weather

The weather will be sunny, with a high near 88. On Thursday night, conditions are expected to remain clear, with a low around 66.
