Northbound GW Parkway Reopens After Closure Due To Crash With Injury On Tuesday Afternoon
Northbound George Washington Parkway in Arlington was closed down for several hours on Tuesday due to a crash with injury.
ARLINGTON, VA — Northbound lanes of George Washington Parkway in Arlington reopened to traffic after being closed for a short time on Tuesday afternoon, according to an alert posted to Twitter at 1:46 p.m. by the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination program.
The closure was prompted by a crash with injury that had occurred just before 12 p.m, according to MATOC.
As public safety crews worked to clear the crash, all northbound traffic lanes were backed up for 1 mile between Memorial Circle and the Key Bridge,
