Crystal City Hit-And-Run Assault Leaves Woman Seriously Injured, Police Say

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington police are investigating a malicious wounding reported early Wednesday in Crystal City, according to police.

Officers responded around 1:40 a.m. to Richmond Highway at 23rd Street South to investigate the report of an assault.

When officers arrived, they determined that the female victim was in a parking lot outside a business with a female suspect known to her and two male suspects. Police reported that the group became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation.

The suspects then entered their vehicle and allegedly struck the victim as they fled the scene, according to police. The victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

Police canvassed the area for the suspects, but did not find them, according to the report. No additional identifying details about the suspects or the business location were included in the information released.
