Arlington's own dad-rock band turned charity machine, the Westover Knights, plays the Westover Biergarten Friday night for Center for Youth and Family Advocacy (CYFA).Expect the same pop rock, alternative, and Americana mix that's made the band a fixture at Arlington fundraisers, plus food, drinks, and a family-friendly crowd.

The Westover Knights Band
<a href="https://westoverknights.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a>The Westover Knights Band started with a few dads who decided the neighborhood deserved a house band. What began as weekend jam sessions has grown into a six-member outfit with a four-decade setlist — Tom Petty, Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, Goose, Hozier, Foo Fighters — and a mission that's bigger than the music.
Every single Westover Knights Band show is also a charity partner event.&nbsp;<a href="https://westoverknights.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The band has&nbsp;helped raise more than $60,000 for local Arlington nonprofits.</a>

He may look and sound gruff but he is a big bear of a sweetheart. You’ll love his take on his own sorted history and observations in general. He has opened for and performed with some great folks like Patton Oswalt, Rory Scovel, Kelsey Cook, Annie Lederman, Bobcat Goldthwait, David Koechner, Chris Katan and at some great venues like the DC Improv (DC), Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (VA), Nick’s Comedy Stop (Ma) Magooby’s Joke House (MD), Church Of Satire (PA) and The Drafthouse Comedy Theater (DC). He also has over 18 years in recovery and is in demand for 12 step conventions all over. Pete can also be seen as a contributor on local panel shows “Like It Or Not” and “The Final 5”, yboth on Fox 5 DC, offering up humorous takes on the days events.

Calling all high school students with a passion for comedy! (the) Unruly Theatre Project (UTP) is The Alden’s professional teen improv company, bringing live comedic performances and community programs to audiences throughout the area.
Company members are paid for performances and rehearse twice a week from late September through May. In addition to performing at venues including art galleries, cafés and the Old Firehouse Center, members gain hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, stage management and photography.
Open to 9th-12th graders only.
Open Auditions: Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 15-16, 7-9 p.m. No prepared monologue is required. Headshots and resumes are welcome but not necessary.
