DC Man Charged With Trapping Worker In Arlington Hotel: Police
Arlington County Police say a woman had to break a window with a chair to escape an assault and abduction attempt at a local hotel.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested Khalil Martin, 27, of Washington, D.C., in connection with an assault and abduction with intent to defile incident Saturday morning at an Arlington hotel, according to the daily crime report.
Officers were dispatched around 10:20 a.m., for the report of an assault at a hotel in the 3300 block of Lee Highway. Officers took Martin into custody after they found him leaving a room at the hotel.
Police determined the victim was cleaning a vacant room when Martin entered the room and locked the door behind him. When the victim attempted to unlock the door, Martin got in front of her and prevented her several times from unlocking it. Martin then began touching the victim inappropriately and removed his pants. At this point, the victim used a chair to break a window to an outside hallway and escaped. The victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Police charged Martin with abduction with intent to defile, burglary with intent to commit larceny/assault & battery, sexual battery, and drunk in public. He is being held without bond.
