DC Woman, 18, Cited For Robbery At Pentagon City Business: Police
Arlington County Police arrested an 18-year-old woman who they say took items from a Pentagon City business and resisted arrest.
ARLINGTON, VA — Zaira Lowe, an 18-year-old Washington, D.C. resident, is facing multiple charges she was arrested early Thursday for taking items from a Pentagon City store, according to Arlington County Police.
An ACPD officer responded around 6:11 p.m., for the report of a larceny at a business in the 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. A preliminary investigation revealed that a woman had just left the business with items she hadn't paid for, according to police.
The suspect, whom police identified as Lowe, was confronted by loss protection personnel outside the business. While they tried to stop Lowe from leaving, she hit one of the people trying to detain her, according to police.

The officer who responded to the larceny report tried to keep Lowe from leaving but she resisted, according to ACPD. Eventually, Lowe was taken into custody.
The officer arrested Lowe, who was charged with robbery and obstruction of justice. No injuries were reported.
