Deadly Stabbing In Arlington: Woman Charged With Murder

Police said an Arlington woman was charged as the result of a suspicious death investigation in Arlington Mill.

ARLINGTON, VA — A woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing on New Year's Day, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The deadly incident stemmed from a dispute inside a residence, officials reported.

Linda Snow, 60, of Arlington, is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility on the murder charge, police reported on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Officials said they responded to the 5100 block of 8th Road South for a stabbing reported at 10:01 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1.

A woman was found with trauma, and emergency personnel immediately began working to save her life.

However, authorities said Alice Carter, 64, of Arlington, was pronounced deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

"The preliminary investigation revealed the incident resulted from a dispute that took place inside a residence between known individuals," the Arlington County police reported.
