Deer Takes the Stage Inside Signature Theatre

Employees at Signature Theatre in Arlington were still preparing for an upcoming production of “The Fix” when a deer wandered on stage Tuesday afternoon.

You read that correctly — a deer made its way into the theatre and onto the stage inside the theatre, interrupting set construction and a production meeting in the process.

A theatre publicist told NBC Washington the deer entered the building by jumping onto a loading dock and then wandering down a back hallway and onto the stage where workers were going about their business.

NBC reported the employees eventually navigated the deer back down the hallway and out onto the loading dock.
