Delivery Driver Robbed, Laundry Room Damaged: Crime Report
Arlington County Police are investigating the robbery of a delivery driver and the damaging of an apartment building laundry room.
ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County Police are investigating two major crimes that occurred on Wednesday, a burglary in the Buckingham neighborhood and the robbery of a delivery driver near Barcroft Park, according to the daily crime report.
Police were dispatched Wednesday, Feb. 18, around 11:25 a.m., to the report of destruction of property in the 200 block of N. Glebe Road. Arriving on the scene, officers learned that unknown suspects forced their way into a secure laundry facility of a residential building between Feb. 17, at 12 p.m., and Feb. 18, at 10:56 a.m., and damaged property. Nothing was reported stolen and police did not release a suspect description

ACPD officers were dispatched Feb. 18, around 12:08 p.m., to the report of a robbery in the 1500 block of S. Columbus Street. Upon arrival, officers learned a food delivery driver attempted to make a delivery around 11:o4 a.m., when he was approached by three male suspects, who demanded he give them the contents of the delivery. They then tried to assault him, took his property and fled the scene on foot. The driver was not injured. The three male suspects were as being 17-20 years of age and about 5’5”-5’10” in height. They were wearing black backpacks and one had a black scarf around his forehead.
Both investigations are ongoing.
