Delivery Driver Robbed By Man With Boxcutter In Westover: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a local man after he threatened and robbed a delivery driver with a box cutter Thursday night in the Westover area, according to the daily crime report.

Police responded around 6:40 p.m. for the report of an armed robbery at an apartment in the 5800 block of Westover Blvd. The victim told police they were delivering food to a nearby apartment when the suspect opened the door, produced a box cutter and demanded they leave the food. The victim complied, exited the building and called police.

After obtaining arrest warrants for robbery and defrauding a restaurant, police attempted to serve them to Alexander Nixon, 36, at his residence in Arlington on Sunday. Nixon barricaded himself in the apartment and then tried to escape through a second floor window.

Police apprehended Nixon and took him to an area hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
