ARLINGTON, VA — Washington Boulevard in the Lyon Park area reopened shortly before 1 p.m. to traffic after being closed for several hours due to downed communication lines, according to an alert posted at 12:43 p.m. on Arlington County's official Twitter account.

Arlington police and fire units responded to the report of downed wires are located between Second Road North and Fourth Street North. A spokeswoman from Dominion Energy confirmed that the downed wires were not power lines but communication lines from either Verizon or Cox.
