Police spokesperson Ashley Savage said that the woman had stopped at a stop sign when a man got out of his car, approached her and "told her she was using the wrong lane of travel" before assaulting her.
"The victim opened her door in an attempt to push the suspect off of her and he continued to assault her," Savage said. "The victim was struck in the face multiple times and the suspect bit her finger."
