Drunk Man Attacks Police Officer in Clarendon: Police
Police were assisting with crowd control at a restaurant on Wilson Boulevard.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police have arrested a man on numerous charges after he allegedly attacked police officers who were helping clear a restaurant at closing time in Clarendon.
Police had responded to a restaurant in the 2800 block of N. Wilson Boulevard shortly before 2 a.m. on Aug. 26 to "assist with crowd control during restaurant closing time," according to the report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"An intoxicated male suspect approached the officers and attempted to start a confrontation," the report states. "The male suspect became disorderly and when officers attempted to arrest him for Drunk In Public, he attempted to strike an officer and pull the officer to the ground."

Police charged 25-year-old Francisco Xavier Andrade of Arlington with failure to ID, drunk in public and two counts of assault on a police officer. He is being held without bond.
