Lucy's Local Playlist

Bowen McCauley Dance presents the premiere of “Lucy’s Local Playlist,” a contemporary dance performance inspired by the music of ten Greater Washington, DC local bands/artists, at Synetic Theater in Arlington, Virginia, May 11 and 12 at 8 pm.

 

The company’s artistic director, Lucy Bowen McCauley, chose the musical selections after reviewing more than forty submissions resulting from a call for submissions sent out early this year, along with her own research. The songs will be included in BMD repertoire locally, regionally, and internationally, for three years. The musicians represent a mix of styles from classic rock to acoustic. The artists and songs will be used for “Lucy’s Local Playlist” include:
