FBI Seeks Information on 4 Area Bank Robberies
New photos from Monday robbery in Arlington. Officials say they don't think the robberies are related. A reward of $5,000 is being offered.

The FBI is seeking information from the public in four bank robberies that have been committed within the last seven days in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.

Police say the robberies are not believed to be related (links will take you to a wanted flyer for each incident):
- Monday, July 6, Arlington.: The subject was described as approximately 5’5” tall with a slender build. He was described as wearing a black cloth around his head and face, a black shirt, black pants, white socks with holes, and no shoes. On Monday, at approximately 4:59 p.m., a man robbed the Capital One Bank at 4700 Lee Highway. He entered the bank, approached the teller and verbally demanded money while armed with a pair of scissors as a weapon, the FBI said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the subject fled the bank on foot.
- Friday, July 3, Washington, D.C.: The subject was described as a Black male, approximately 6’3” tall and 160 pounds with a slim build. He was described as wearing a black zippered shirt with yellow drawstrings, blue jeans, black shoes and a grey and black fisherman’s hat with the Los Angeles Raiders logo. On Friday, at approximately 9:56 a.m., a man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1545 Alabama Ave. SE in Washington, DC. The subject entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money both via a note and a verbal demand. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the subject left the bank.
- Thursday, July 2, Woodbridge: The male subject was described as having a slender build. He was described as wearing dark or black sunglasses, a gray and black North Face hooded jacket, and blue jeans. His face was covered by a black scarf. On Thursday, at approximately 12:08 p.m., a man robbed the PNC Bank located inside the Giant Food store at 12445 Hedges Run Road, in Woodbridge, Virginia. The subject entered the bank, approached the victim teller and verbally demanded money while displaying a weapon. The subject then exited the bank and fled on foot behind the Giant.
- Tuesday, June 30, Washington, D.C.: The subject is described as black male with a dark complexion. He was described as wearing a lime green construction vest with an “H” on the back over a dark-colored long-sleeved jacket, light-colored blue jeans, a khaki-colored fisherman’s hat with a black and gold band and white gloves. On Tuesday, June 30, at approximately 12:21 p.m., a man robbed the SunTrust Bank located at 1250 U Street, NW, in Washington, D.C. The subject entered the bank, approached the victim teller and passed a note that demanded money. The subject exited the bank and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
A reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of these robbers is being offered. The FBI requests that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000.
