Felony Narcotics Charges Levied Against 33-Year-Old Man In Arlington

ARLINGTON, VA — A 33-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including felony possession of a controlled substance, in connection to the report of a suspicious person in the Green Valley area on Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Arlington County Police Department responded around 8:39 a.m. to the 2400 block of S. Glebe Road to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the area.

Investigators determined that two people entered a hotel room and left after they were found by an employee. After a lookout was broadcast, officers detained one of the suspects who they found walking in the area. Police say that the suspect provided information about his identity that they later determined to be false.

During the investigation, the officers found that the suspect, whom they identified as 33-year-old Deonte Lewis of no fixed address, was in possession of narcotics and credit cards that didn't belong to him.

Lewis was arrested and charged on two counts each of felony possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and misdemeanor credit card theft. He was also charged with providing false I.D. He was then held without bond.
