Fetterer Joins Arlington's Newly Formed Behavioral Health Docket
Diana Fetterer joined the Behavioral Health Docket Team, which will begin working with individuals with mental illnesses in September.
ARLINGTON, VA — Diana Fetterer joined the Arlington County Sheriff's Office July 20 as a member of the newly created Behavioral Health Docket Team, which is scheduled to begin operations in September.
“We are excited to welcome Diana to our Pretrial Section” said Sheriff Beth Arthur, in a release. “Her experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and extensive knowledge of the Courts system and processes will provide a strong foundation to support the establishment of the Behavioral Health Docket in Arlington County.”
Prior to coming to Arlington County, Fetterer spent five years as the coordinator of the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Therapeutic Docket for the Blue Ridge Court Services in Staunton, Virginia. In that role, she helped 34 participants graduate from the Behavioral Health Docket, while carrying a caseload of pre-trial clients who were diagnosed with serious mental illnesses.

A graduate of Christopher Newport University with a bachelor's degree in sociology, Fetterer also earned a master's in forensic psychology from Marymount University. While pursuing her master's, she shadowed the mitigation specialist at the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office.
“I look forward to returning to the Northern Virginia area where I was born and raised to assist with the management of the new Behavioral Health Docket in Arlington County” Fetterer said, in the release.

In her new role, Fetterer will help identify and supervise participants in the docket. She will also manage cases for those in the Post Magistrate Booking Project, Bond Diversion Program and the Court-Based Diversion Program.
