Theft From Parked Vehicle Leads To Fight On The Pentagon City Metro Platform

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police were called to the Pentagon City Metro Station Tuesday at 11:35 a.m., to help Metro Transit Police break up a fight between two men, according to the daily crime report.

After meeting up with Metro Transit Police, the officers deployed pepper spray and detained the two men who had been fighting.

An investigation revealed that a witness had told the victim, who had parked his vehicle in a garage in the 1300 block of S. Joyce Street, that they had seen the second man force his way into the vehicle and remove money and personal items. The victim tracked the man down and followed him onto the Metro platform, which is where Metro Transit Police found the two men fighting.

The suspect, who police identified as 26-year-old Tyrell Washington of Washington D.C., was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries sustained during the fight. Police then charge Washington with larceny from auto. Metro Transit Police provided additional warrants against the suspect.
