First NoVa Indie Bookstore Crawl To Include Arlington Business

As part of Independent Bookstore Day, some local bookstores will kick off a bookstore crawl with prizes.

ARLINGTON, VA — As part of Independent Bookstore Day, locally-owned bookstores in and near Northern Virginia will team up to host a bookstore crawl to boost visits to their businesses.

Independent Bookstore Day is a nationwide event on Saturday, April 27 with thousands of participating businesses. The event seeks to promote the locally-owned businesses and often includes special activities and promotions at each location.

To generate visits to the region's bookstores, 15 independent bookstores will host a first NoVa Indie Bookstore Crawl starting on Independent Bookstore Day (April 27) through May 31. To join the crawl, customers can go to any participating location for a bookstore crawl passport and get a stamp at every participating bookstore they visit. Visiting four stores will get customers a free advanced reader's copy of their choice. Eight visits will get them a tote bag. Ten visitors will get an entry to win a grand prize gift basket with each store contributing an item.
