Forced Entry In East Falls Church Leads To Arrest Of Arlington Woman

Two woman broke into and stole items from a vacant home in the East Falls Church area early Monday morning, according to police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 52-year-old Arlington woman was taken into custody by Fairfax County Police after Arlington authorities obtained a warrant for her arrest following a break-in at an East Falls Church home.

Arlington County Police officers responded around 8:27 a.m. for the report of a suspicious event in the 2300 block of N. Powhatan Street. The officers determined that two woman had forced their way into a vacant home. They then stole an undisclosed number of items and drove off in a black sedan.

After investigators identified 52-year-old Vivian Vann of Arlington as a suspect in the case, they obtained an arrest warrant. Later that day, police in Fairfax County arrested Vann and handed her over to Arlington County Police, who charged her with burglary and unlawful entry.
