Free Ornamental Seedlings Available At Local Veterinary Clinic
For more than 30 years, the Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic Annual has conducted its Annual Spring Tree Giveaway.
ARLINGTON, VA — Looking for a way to brighten up your neighborhood this spring? Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic is providing free ornamental, fruit and nut tree seedlings as part of its Annual Spring Tree Giveaway.
The clinic, which is located at 4038 Lee Highway in Arlington, has been distributing the seedlings every spring for more than 30 years. The effort is aimed at improving air quality, preventing erosion, and giving wildlife a place to shelter. It's also a great way to enhance the area with flowering trees.
People are invited to swing by the clinic from 12-7 p.m., on Friday; and 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday through Tuesday. This year, the following seedlings are available for pickup on a first-come, first-serve basis: Dogwood, Crepe Myrtle, Chinese Chestnut, American Elderberry and Chinkapin.
