ARLINGTON, VA — A woman who was pushed out of a moving vehicle in the Ballston area of Arlington last month suffered a traumatic brain injury that required extensive surgery and left her in critical condition, ARLnow reported Monday.

The Arlington County Police Department's crime report for May 16 said the vehicle was described as a black SUV, according to a witness. The victim, 25, is expected to require six to 12 months of recovery, the victim’s sister wrote on a GoFundMe page.

“The hospital bills and the rehab center will be very expensive, so we appreciate all the help we could get,” says the fundraising page.
