Get Your 'Smize' On: 'America's Next Top Model' Auditions Coming to Arlington

You know how to ”smize” don’t you? Smile with your eyes? The word was coined by Tyra Banks, host and creator of “America’s Next Top Model” and it probably couldn’t hurt if you want to be a contestant on the program. You might get your chance next month.

An open casting call for The CW Network’s “America’s Next Top Model” will be held at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City in Arlington, Saturday, Jan. 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a news release from the network. Here’s more about the audition from the release:

In Cycle 22, male models will again be among the group of contestants competing for the title of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. The contestants will vie for a prize package that will launch their modeling careers. Casting directors are looking for females and males, ages 18 to 27, of diverse backgrounds, shapes, sizes with no minimum height requirement.

WDCW-TV (DCW50), the Washington, DC’s Tribune Media-owned CW affiliate will be hosting the local casting call. The station will incorporate several other attractions and incentives at the event including the opportunity for contestants to win up to $1,000 by entering a follow-up DCW50.com contest.

Complete details, including legal restrictions; entry forms; and practical tips on what to wear and how to answer judges’ questions are available on DCW50.com. Local judges are DCW50’s Fashion & Lifestyle correspondent Paul Wharton and Maggy Francois, a noted DC & New York event and fashion marketing executive. Wharton and Francois will select three contestants that day to set up immediate skype interviews with Los Angeles-based “Top Model” casting directors.
