Gingerbread House Competition Coming to Crystal City

The Hyatt Regency Crystal City will be donating the proceeds to charity.

ARLINGTON, VA — Love gingerbread houses? Then you're in luck: a big decorating competition will be coming to Crystal City next week, with all proceeds going to a good cause.

The Hyatt Regency Crystal City will host the third annual Gingerbread House Challenge on Nov. 17, with proceeds donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand, according to a statement.

"Teams of four, from area businesses, will compete to build and decorate the best gingerbread house," the statement reads. "All decorating materials will be provided. This festive evening will also feature a selection of wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres. On Nov. 21, photos of the completed gingerbread houses will be posted for public voting via the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Facebook page."
