Go Oyster Crazy in Arlington With New Festival This Weekend
Rosslyn restaurant Barley Mac is launching a new annual oyster festival.

ARLINGTON, VA — Fall is here, but it may be the best time yet to be slurping down one of summer's best seafood treats -- the oyster -- in Arlington. That's because Rosslyn eatery Barley Mac is launching its first-ever annual oyster festival this weekend.
The festival, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m., will feature an oyster eating contest, an oyster shucking instruction station and a cigar rolling station, according to a statement.
"Barley Mac’s oyster menu features raw oysters harvested from NOVA," reads the statement. "In addition to raw oysters, Barley Mac will serve Oyster Rockefellers, Grilled Oysters, Fried Po-Boys, Oyster Stew, Fried Buffalo Batter Oysters and Oyster Ceviche.
