Gunshots Damage Parked Car, Apartment In Arlington: Police

Several residents reported hearing gunshots Monday evening in the 1000 block of S. Frederick Street, according to Arlington County police.

ARLINGTON, VA — Several residents reported hearing gunshots Monday evening in the 1000 block of S. Frederick Street, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Monday, police arrived on the scene and started canvassing the area. They found evidence that confirmed shots had been fired and saw damage to an unoccupied, parked vehicle and an occupied apartment.

Witnesses reported seeing a red sedan and a black sedan flee the scene. No injuries related to the gunshots were reported.

The police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
