Gunshots Reported In Arlington Under Bizarre Circumstances

Police found a parked vehicle with a shattered window, but no evidence of a shooting anywhere.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police found a vehicle in Arlington with a shattered window after receiving a report of gunshots, but they haven't found any evidence of a shooting at the scene.

Police were called to the 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive at around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of possible shots fired, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon arrival, it was determined that a witness was walking in the area when he heard the glass from a vehicle window break," the report states. "Arriving officers located a parked vehicle with a shattered window. No physical evidence of a shooting was located at the scene and a canvas of the area resulted in no additional witnesses."
